Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to the FAQ page. I’ve been in the people-helping business a long time, and if there’s one thing I know, it’s this: asking good questions leads to better answers. Below are some of the most common questions I’ve received from people just like you.
What is a life coach, really? A life coach helps you figure out what you really want, what's holding you back, and what steps to take next. Think of me like a GPS for your goals — I help you see the road more clearly and stay on it.
What happens in the first session? We get clear. We talk about what’s really going on, what you want, and where you feel stuck. You'll leave with at least one action step — and often, a big shift in how you see things.
Are you a certified coach? Yes! I’m a Certified Professional Life Coach, trained through an ICF-accredited institute. ICF (International Coaching Federation) is considered the gold standard for professional coaching worldwide. My certification ensures I bring proven methods, deep listening, and ethical practices into every session — so you get real, lasting results.
How long does it take to build a new habit? Studies show it takes anywhere from 21 to 66 days to make a new habit stick — depending on your consistency and intention. We build small, sustainable habits that fit your life.
How much time should I give myself for change? Change happens when you're ready — and committed. Some shifts happen in one session. Some unfold over months. My clients usually see real traction within 4 to 6 sessions.
What’s the biggest thing that keeps people stuck? Fear of change. Fear of judgment. And believing they’re not ready or not worthy. That’s why coaching works — we challenge those beliefs in real time.
I’m super busy. How do I make time for this? We make time for what matters. This is about *your* life. Sessions are just 60 minutes — and the momentum you build will give you *more* energy, not less.
Will there be homework? Yes. But I call it action work. You’ll never get busywork — just real steps to move your life forward. And we always decide them together.
What kind of clients do you work with? I work with ambitious people who are ready to stop overthinking, get out of their own way, and build a life that feels aligned. First-gen professionals, creatives, career changers, executives, dreamers, fitness or wellness embarkers, leaders, or folks simply ready to prioritize themselves because they know if they help themselves they can better help others.
What makes you different from other coaches? I don’t do fluff. I’m not here to fix you — you’re not broken. I’m here to challenge, support, and walk alongside you with honesty, empathy, and a push when you need it. I’ve lived many lives, and I bring my full humanity and clarity to the table.
What’s the difference between a Life Coach & a Therapist? Therapy often looks back — helping you heal from the past and notice patterns. Coaching looks forward — helping you build the future and use your awareness to grow. You don’t have to choose one or the other. Many of my clients work with both.
What’s the difference between a Life Coach & a Counselor? A counselor helps you process emotions, trauma, and mental health. A coach helps you take action, build confidence, and create momentum.
What’s the difference between a Life Coach & a Consultant? A consultant gives you expert advice and tells you what to do. A life coach helps you discover what *you* want and supports you as you figure out how to get it — with clarity, courage, and accountability.
Why would someone hire a life coach? Because they’re ready for change. They’re tired of overthinking. They want to stop spinning their wheels and finally move forward. They need help with accountability. If you're at a crossroads or just tired of your own excuses, coaching creates the space (and the push) to get clear and take action.
Should I choose therapy instead? If you're working through trauma, deep emotional wounds, or need a diagnosis, therapy is best. If you feel ready to move forward and want support, clarity, and momentum, coaching is the right fit.
Can I do both therapy and coaching? Absolutely. They complement each other beautifully. One helps you heal, the other helps you grow
Why is the card payment slightly higher than the Zelle/Venmo option? I offer both options to give you flexibility. Zelle/Venmo is fee-free for both of us, while the card payment includes Stripe’s standard processing fee to keep things secure and seamless. You’re not paying anything extra beyond what it takes to run the tech cleanly — and I appreciate your support in whatever option works best for you.
When is the Next Clarity Catalyst? Starts the week of July 22
How do I enroll in the next Clarity Catalyst? I’m taking Clarity Calls for the Catalyst until July 17 to make sure we’re aligned before we dive in. If you don’t make it for that round, I’ll put you on the list for the next one or we can create a custom plan for your needs right away.
Still have questions? You can always book a Clarity Call to see if coaching with me is the right fit. No pressure, no fluff — just real talk.
